Documents relating to the Champalimaud Foundation's Statutes, Recognition and Annual Reports are all available for public access.
The Champalimaud Foundation was created in 2004 by the last will and testament of António de Sommer Champalimaud as a private institution regulated under Portuguese law and by the statutes published in Diário da Republica on January 21st 2005. The Statutes of the Foundation, recognised since 2005 as a public utility entity, were subject to a revision in 2011.
The Champalimaud Foundation's annual reports are published each year and submitted to the state authorities for external audit. The reports are designed to demonstrate the Foundation's yearly activities and highlight the impact made by its investments.
